Ecosom®- TH contains conidiospores of Trichoderma harzianum. The composition is customised to comply with regulatory guidelines of respective countries. Trichoderma harzianum is a proprietary strain and compliant with National Bio Diversity Authority guidelines and has Access Benefit Sharing (ABS) agreement with the State Bio Diversity Board for payment of royalty to the habitat from where the microbes have been isolated
Substrate Competition for space and Nutrients: Trichoderma harzianum colonizes maximum space and absorbs maximum nutrients available at the target site and thereby controls the pathogens by starving them for food and competing for space- Domino effect.
Mycoparasitism: Trichoderma harzianum is like a prophylactic biological fungicide that attacks disease causing pathogens before they reach the plant system. It grows fast and coils around the pathogen and penetrates through it. It derives nutrition from the target pathogenic fungus protoplasm and Trichoderma harzianum spores multiply inside target pathogenic fungus body and eventually kill it.
Enzyme production: Trichoderma harzianum secrets gliotoxins which are antagonistic to pathogenic fungi or bacteria. It is known to secrete an antifungal metabolites like 4-hydroxy-6, 6-dimethoxy-3-(2-methyl-1- oxohex-4-enyl) pyridin-2-one, 6-Pentyl-alpha-pyrone, harziapyridone which are antagonistic to the pathogenic fungal species and suppress their growth. It also inactivates the pathogen’s enzymes by secreting certain plant growth stimulating substances. A long-lasting effect against pathogens is thus observed owing to the secondary metabolite secretion which exhibit antibiosis effect on the pathogen.
Nematicidal effect: Trichoderma harzianum produces toxins that have a nematicidal property and thus can be used as an effective nematicide.

Seed Dressing: Ecosom®- TH with crude sugar in sufficient water to make a slurry and coat seeds and dry in shade and sow / broadcast / dibble in the field. Do not store treated / coated seeds more than 24 hrs
Soil Application: Ecosom®- TH can be used as under:
Foliar applicatio: Mix Ecosom®- TH at recommended doses in sufficient water and spray on soil during off season. Apply twice a year for long duration crops. It is recommended to have first application before the onset of the main monsoon / rainfall/ spring season and second application after the main monsoon / rainfall / autumn/ fall season.
Note:Do not store Ecosom®- TH solution for more than 24 hours after mixing in water.
A fraction of the product may not be soluble in water. It is advisable to filter and discard undissolved residue and use filtered liquid for spraying or feeding through drip irrigation.
Compatible with other BioPesticides , biofertilizers, organic fertilizers, organic manures, biopesticides, vermicompost, sea kelp (seaweed fertilizer), protein hydrolysates, organic carbon and rock phosphate.
NOTE: It is advisable to have a one-week gap if soil application pesticides are to be used after application of Ecosom®- TH.
Store in ambient temperature, not more than 35 degrees Celsius. Preferably store between 4 – 10-degree Celsius. Keep container closed after use. Store in a dry place.
Ecosom® - TH has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacturing.
Ecosom® - TH composition can be customized to meet local regulatory guidelines.
Ecosom® - TH is offered in India - as Trichoderma harzianum – Biopesticide under Central Insecticides Board (CIB) of Govt of India with label claim of Trichoderma harzianum with 2*10^6 CFU/g in wettable powder formulation.
Ecosom® - TH is also offered as Soluble Powder formulation (1*10^8 CFU/g).
