Zn Sol B®contains vegetative cells of Starkeya novella . The composition is customised to comply with regulatory guidelines of respective countries. Starkeya novella a is a proprietary strain and compliant with National Bio Diversity Authority guidelines and has Access Benefit Sharing (ABS) agreement with the State Bio Diversity Board for payment of royalty to the habitat from where the microbes have been isolated. The strain is under Patent deposit certificate with Budapest Treaty recognised depository.

Enzyme production:Starkeya novella produces enzymes and metabolites that aid in mobilization of zinc in the soil through its unique glucose transport system

It shows a maximum induction of sulfite oxidase activity and a maximum growth rate. The glucose transport system as well as key enzymes of glucose metabolism in Starkeya novella was induced by glucose

Starkeya novella uses glucose at a slower rate in mixotrophic medium and utilizes a different primary route of glucose metabolism. Regulation of glucose metabolism in Starkeya novella could involve control of enzyme synthesis, control of enzyme activity, or both.

Energy metabolism:Starkeya novella exhibits reduction in the rate of glucose and thiosulfate utilization and a partial uncoupling of substrate oxidation from energy generation

At the high substrate concentrations employed, Starkeya novella is incapable of controlling the rate of substrate utilization to the extent necessary to attain the desired rate of energy generation and, thus, requires the additional mechanism

  • • Zn Sol B®effectively mobilizes Zinc to exchangeable form and enables mobilization of about 20 Kg /Ac OR 50 Kg/Ha of Zinc
  • • Natural Zinc mobilization improves both plant and soil health and also aids in soil remediation
  • • The population of beneficial microbes increases and the organic content of soil improves owing to organic acid secretion by the bacteria
  • • Zn Sol B ® can be used as an effective component in Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) programmes, thereby leading to a reduction in use of chemical fertilizers and creating a safer environment

  • Types of formulation

Zn Sol B® is available in the following formulations:

  • Application method Notes

    Soil application

Zn Sol B® can be used as under:

    1. Mix at recommended doses with compost and apply at early life stages of crop along with other biofertilizers

    2. Mix Zn Sol B® at recommended doses in sufficient water and drench soil at early leaf stage/ 2-4 leaf stage / early crop life cycle

    3. Drip Irrigation: If there are insoluble particles, filter the solution and add to drip tank.

    4. Long duration crops / Perennial / Orchard crops: Dissolve Zn Sol B® at recommended doses in sufficient water and apply as a drenching spray near root zone twice a year. It is recommended to have first application before the onset of the main monsoon / rainfall/ spring season and second application after the main monsoon / rainfall / autumn/ fall season.

    Note:

Do not store Zn Sol B® solution for more than 24 hours after mixing in water.

A fraction of the product may not be soluble in water. It is advisable to filter and discard undissolved residue and use filtered liquid for spraying or feeding through drip irrigation.

  • Compatibility

Compatible with biofertilizers, organic fertilizers, organic manures, biopesticides, vermicompost, sea kelp (seaweed fertilizer), protein hydrolysates, organic carbon and rock phosphate

    Note:

It is advisable to have a one-week gap if soil application pesticides are to be used after application of Zn Sol B®.
